Fiumicino (FCO) is the main international airport; the Leonardo Express train runs directly to Termini station in about 32 minutes. Ciampino (CIA) handles budget carriers and is served by shuttle buses into the center.
By train
High-speed trains connect Rome Termini to Florence, Milan, Naples and Venice, arriving right in the historic center — often more convenient than flying domestically.
From the airport to your hotel
Train plus a short taxi or metro ride is usually fastest and cheapest. A direct taxi is simplest with luggage; Rome sets a fixed flat fare from Fiumicino to the city center.
