Wellness & yoga in Rome
Slowing down in a city built for walking — where to find calm.
Yoga
A good number of yoga studios have opened across Rome in the past decade, concentrated in Prati, Pigneto and around Termini. Drop-in classes are common at most studios — expect Italian-language instruction outside the most tourist-oriented places.
Thermal baths
Rome is within day-trip distance of several thermal spa towns — Saturnia (hot springs in Tuscany, free outdoor pools), Viterbo (Terme dei Papi) and Fiuggi are all reachable by car, making a spa half-day easy to add to an extended stay.
Parks and running routes
Villa Borghese gardens and the Appia Antica park are the most popular running routes among residents — both have enough space and enough shade to make early-morning exercise genuinely pleasant even in summer.
